12 Ways To Avoid Phishing

DO NOT EVER CLICK ON LINKS IN AN EMAIL!
At least not unless you are 100% sure that they are safe and even then – DON’T!!
If you need to access a link in an email – do it directly by typing the appropriate URL into your browser.

Run the latest anti-malware and anti-virus software and make sure it automatically updates daily.

NEVER click on links in an email or message – I cannot over-emphasize this!

No responsible organization will ever ask you for your password and NEVER give it to anyone!

Manually type the URL which is being forwarded

Spell check the URLs before visiting and trust only websites with ‘HTTPS’ (note ‘HTTPS’ on the website does not mean it is a legitimate one)

While searching sites on the internet do not directly click on random search results, read carefully, and then visit sites

Use updated browser

Block pop-ups(Ublock Origin recommended)

Be Alert, keep regular track of your online accounts.

Avoid downloading attachments from an unknown sender.

Verify e-mail headers before sharing any sensitive information.
