At SOS|Support, the health and well-being of our employees and our customers are crucial to our success as well as yours. We have always had the motto “Leave I.T. better than you found it” -Every time we touch a client’s system, we go the extra mile and leave it better than we found it. We are going to take this a step further.
New Cleanliness Protocols
Effective immediately, SOS|Support employees, technicians, and engineers will have on hand for all onsite/dispatched appointments an industrial-strength germ killer, microfiber towels and facemasks. On all systems we work on, we will spend some extra time cleaning the keyboard and mouse and applying a level of pro-activeness that goes above and beyond our day to day routines.
New Remote Office Protocols
SOS|Support employees, technicians, and engineers have been asked to stay home for normal business operations and to keep themselves and their families safe. This actually puts an employee, technician, or engineer within minutes of your site should the need arrive for an on-site visit.
Businesses Most Affected
The Government has deemed “IT” as Essential and we are still going strong. We do have a few clients that have been or will be heavily impacted. These are even some of our core most important clients. I want to make sure we are doing an exceptional job as your partner to help you through these tough times. Please contact me directly to discuss what we can do financially to help you in regard to your IT services and plans. But I need to know ASAP.
Free IT Services to those most negatively impacted by COVID-19:
We have posted on social media and want to encourage you to share this with others. Businesses that are not our clients that are the most heavily impacted companies in regard to this economic crisis: we are offering Free IT Services for them (with limitations). Please have them contact me directly and I will see what we can do for them. Many companies have outsourced IT that have become quarantined or self-isolated whereas we have taken measures to protect ourselves and our clients if we need to come onsite and we are still coming onsite when essential. Also, other even smaller companies may be stuck in a need for a quick solution that we could provide that may help them at this difficult time.
This is not a promise of unlimited IT support but rather we just want to give back where we can. We are 100% a cashflow based business and our success depends on the success of our clients and us getting paid. But I feel like there is a time and place where we can give back and this is certainly one of those times. Again, this is for only those companies severely struggling at this time.
Beware of Phishing/Malware
Regarding the latest Coronavirus issues – there is another side to this that is becoming increasingly urgent. The bad guys on the internet have used this global pandemic to their advantage and there are thousands of scams attempting to collect your personal information and hacking attempts to collect passwords. We have seen and been inquired by a number of clients as it relates to this. I strongly advise becoming educated on these phishing attacks and send this to all your employees so they are aware. It will be worth 2 minutes of time to skim this web article. The Internet is drowning in COVID-19 -related malware and phishing scams
