Operative System:

Most laptops come with one of three operating systems: Windows, ChromeOS, or macOS (MacBooks only).

Windows

Windows 11, the most versatile operating system, operates on more laptop models than Chrome OS or macOS. dedicated graphics means it has its own designated graphics card inside the laptop and onboard graphics means it’s running on a chip so really depends on what you want to go with here if you’re looking to play games or you’re looking to do video editing or graphic work and things like that. Notice that big ventilation will be needed in that case.

another thing to take into account is the specifications this is your cpu your ram your storage so if you’re doing video editing and gaming and things like that you’re going to probably need to get yourself a much more higher end cpu like an i5 or an i7 and if you’re just doing some light work then an i3 is going to be perfectly fine.

there’s also some other options available when it comes to cpus as well which are a lot more affordable when it comes to ram make sure the ram is not soldered to the board and make sure you can upgrade it to a reasonable amount of ram same thing for the storage make sure you’ve got plenty of storage available and make sure that you can upgrade your storage

CPU

Apple M1, M2, and M3

Apple’s own silicon, the ARM-based M1, M2, and M3 processors, established a new bar for balancing raw performance and durability that is just now being challenged. If you want additional strength for jobs such as content production or programming, choose the Pro or Max models.

Intel 14th Gen CPUs

Intel’s 14th Gen Meteor Lake processors are the company’s most recent release, and we’ve already examined numerous laptops powered by these chips.

Intel 13th Gen CPUs

Although Intel’s 13th Gen Raptor Lake processors are from the previous generation, they continue to power the bulk of new laptops on the market. From the high-end HX series to the balanced P series and thin-and-light friendly U series, Intel began to give a better outcome

AMD Ryzen 8000

AMD’s response to Intel’s Core Ultra chipset, the Ryzen 8000 series, has a similar emphasis on AI advances; we are currently waiting for an AMD Ryzen 8000 laptop to review, but will update once we see how it compares to the competition.

AMD Ryzen 7000

The Ryzen 7000 CPUs from AMD are only now coming out, so we are currently waiting for laptops with them in our laboratories for testing.

Intel Core i9

CPUs are quicker than any other mobile chip. Core i9 CPUs, which are only available on premium laptops, workstations, and high-end gaming rigs, are only worthwhile if you’re a power user who runs the most demanding programs and applications. Typically have 14 total cores.

Intel Core i7

A step up from Core i5, versions ending in H consume more power and contain 10 to 14 cores, enabling for speedier gaming and productivity. There are other Core i7 P and U series processors with lesser power and performance. Keep a look out for CPUs with 12 in the model number, as they are part of Intel’s most recent selection.

Intel Core i5

If you’re searching for a mainstream laptop with the best price-performance ratio, get one with an Intel Core i5 processor. those ending in U are the most prevalent, with lesser power and performance to save battery life, whilst those ending in P utilize more watts while being more efficient than the H-Series.

Intel Core i3

Both performance and pricing are somewhat lower than Core i5. We propose upgrading to a Core i5.
Intel Xeon CPUs are extremely powerful and costly, designed for big mobile workstations. If you work in professional engineering, 3D modeling, or video editing, you may desire a Xeon, but it will not provide adequate battery life or a lightweight laptop.

Intel Pentium / Celeron

Still prevalent in sub-$400 laptops, these CPUs provide the slowest performance but are adequate for web browsing and light document processing. You’d be better off paying extra for a Core i3 or i5 processor.

AMD A, FX, or E Series

Found on low-cost laptops, AMD’s processors (the company calls them APUs rather than CPUs) provide enough performance for web browsing, media streaming, and productivity.

  Aspire contracted with SOS Support back in October 2022. They have been monitoring our IT needs and backing up our electronic data daily for the past 5 months including our email and external communication systems. Recently Aspire’s email was hacked. I notified SOS of the issue, and they were very quick to act, both remotely and in Aspire’s office. Corbin was able to confirm our email login credentials were hacked and traced the offender to Dubai, UAE. When Aspire began with SOS they had recommended we install Multi Factor Authentication but Aspire declined. After this frightening experience Aspire now has MFA. SOS also followed up this experience with a special training course for our staff including teaching about “phishing” emails, etc. Each of the SOS staff members we interact with are knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help!
