Here at SOS Support, your IT specialists in Salt Lake City, UT, we like to keep our eye on a few different websites to keep up on the latest tech news.
If you are anything like us, you like to do a little research before you buy almost anything. I don’t know how many hours I personally have spent reading reviews on amazon to make sure I’m getting my money’s worth! That’s exactly why this article caught our attention! It’s a year end list of the very best tech products that were tested by CRN.
The best part of this list is that every one of these products was tested individually so you know they know what they are talking about! It covers everything from cell phones and tablets, to servers and software. If you’re looking to do a little research before buying some new tech for work or a gift for your loved one, make sure to check it out!

The first product we want to point out is #6 on the list and is the winner in the Data Center category. It’s the Dell PowerEdge R730 server. This one drew our attention because we work a lot with servers, and specifically with Dell servers. At SOS Support, your IT specialists in the Salt Lake Valley, Dell is our brand of choice, especially for servers. So I guess you could look at this as proof that you are getting the very best with SOS Support!
Something else we wanted to point out is the Samsung Galaxy S5 Smartphone. This won the mobile phones category and it’s obvious why. It’s durable, fast, reliable, and by far the best choice for an android based smartphone in 2014. This is a pretty important category considering that everyone and their dog is buying smartphones these days. If you’re in the market for a smartphone upgrade, this one is a pretty darn good option!
The last product we wanted to highlight is one that I hadn’t even heard of yet, but could be incredibly useful! It’s the nCryptedCloud Enterprise. The cloud is becoming more and more used and is a great and convenient way to share files with co-workers and friends/family. The only problem with it so far is that there have been some concerns about security for important files like work documents. nCrypted Cloud solves this problem with their new software that can put up to 5 layers of security on your files when using DropBox, Google Drive, and other popular cloud programs. It looks like an incredibly useful product for personal and business use!
