Global Outlook Issue and Potential SLA Delays

SOS Support has just been made aware of a global issue that is causing users’ outlook to crash due to a recent MS Outlook update. Microsoft is currently working on a solution to this issue but at this time we do not have a formal ETA on when they will roll that out.

We have currently worked out a solution to the issue, however this solution is only valid for Outlook version 16.0.6366.206. Our solution is as follows:

Open command prompt and change directory with this:

  1. cd “\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun”
  2. Once in that directory, run this command: a.officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.6366.2062

We would also like to inform you that due to this Global issue we have begun to receive a large volume of tickets. Our team is working diligently to assist with resolving this issue; However we did want to make you aware that due to the situation and volume of tickets surrounding it, our response time may be affected.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this. If you have any questions, please let us know.
