Apple iPhone 6s Announced

Apple Announces iPhone 6s

As many may already know, Apple had their usual yearly unveiling of new products just a few days ago.  A big part of this event was the announcement of the newest iPhone, specifically the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

At this point it seems like Samsung and Apple are popping out new phones every other month, but of course we don’t ever mind shiny new technology!

On that note and before I say anything else on the subject, if you haven’t had a good laugh today, definitely watch this YouTube video clip courteous of Jimmy Kimmel for some good iPhone humor.

Now that you’ve had a good laugh I’ll get into the biggest new features of the iPhone 6s…

3D Touch-

Apple has created a new touch interface that they hope will be a hit.  It incorporates the use of a pressure sensor to essentially right click on something by pressing harder on the screen.

Upgraded A9 Processor-

Apple’s new processor is said to to up to 70% faster than the A8 processor used in the iPhone 6.

Upgraded Front and Rear Cameras-

Higher megapixels, 4K Video Capabilities, and a front flash system will all be included with the 6s, as well as a new “Live Photos” feature.

New Color-

The 6s will be available in the usual Grey, Silver and Gold, with the addition of a new Rose Gold model.

Along with a few other minor features, this is what Apple is bringing to the table.  The only question is whether or not the upgrade is worth it to you or not!  For some more details about pricing and other features, as well as a head to head comparison with the iPhone 6, head over to this link at CRN.

The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are expected in stores on September 25th.
