How You Can Connect Your Internet Router To Your Computer

So that’s how you connect your router to your computer or laptop. The ethernet wire is the yellow wire. It facilitates data transfer. It might be blue or yellow in hue, or any other color.

A black cable, which is the telephone line wire, may be found on the far left. There is only one port for it on the router, and it should be segregated from the ethernet ports.

After that, you connect your gadget to an AC power supply and turn it on.

This is the backside of your router, where a sticker has been applied. It should not be scratched or removed. If you look attentively, you’ll notice that there are three key elements: the http link, the username at, and the password for the router’s access.

While the router is turned on, open Chrome or Internet Explorer. You can use any other browser if you choose. And then type the http URL from the router’s back. Now, We’ve showed you a Netgear corporate router in this image, thus this http url is for that model. You must look for various http links for different business router models, but they must be in the same format as provided. 192.168.1.0 or 192. 168.1.1

When you click on this link, a dialog window pops up asking for your username and password. The username and password are admin and password, respectively. It’s possible that the one you bought isn’t the same. You’ve now accessed the router’s settings by entering your login and password.

This is the Netgear configuration page (different company have different setting page). If you are configuring your router for the first time, you may not see this page and instead be sent to a wizard page. When the wizard page loads, it will ask for your location. Fill in the blanks and go to the next page.

Now, the business from which you obtained your internet connection (such as Airtel or BSNL) must have provided you with a username and password. You’ll see your login/username and password in the wizard (as seen in the image above), so just insert your Internet provider username and password and press next.

If you have purchased a wifi router, you will be presented with a dialogue window that instructs you to protect your wifi wireless connection with a password. You may use any password you like, just make sure it’s strong.

Finally, your router has been setup, and you may now connect to it with any wireless device.

Now go to your Android phone’s wifi settings and look for your router’s name. One thing I failed to mention is that you may give your router a name while setting the password. This is the name that will show on the phone that you wish to connect with. It will prompt you for the password when you connect it. Now remember the password: this is the one you set for device protection, not the one supplied by the company or the one on the back of your router.

Your device is now connected.

You may now see the term SSID. It’s known as the service set identifier. If the name you give your router is the same as the one I requested you to give it previously. It is usually the firm name that is written by default, but you may change it and call it whatever you like.

The next step is to alter the channel number to 13 or whatever number you have available. The channel numbers are usually selected so that your device does not interfere with any nearby devices.

It’s finished when you click apply. To see if your connection is working, go to any website.

So that was the router configuration.
